Old Oak Bible Church's Statement of Faith
At Old Oak Bible Church:
We believe there is One God in three persons - Father, Son, & Holy Spirit.
We believe in Jesus Christ's Deity, virgin birth, sinless humanity, substitutionary death, atoning blood, bodily resurrection, & ascension to heaven.
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells the people of God, both individually & collectively, enabling them to exhibit supernatural character traits as they submit to His leadership.
We believe in the Verbal Inspiration of the whole Bible as God's infallible revelation to man.
We believe in Salvation By Faith in Christ alone, without works, & solely by grace.
We believe in the Need Of Works to express gratitude & give a living demonstration of God's transforming power, which results from Bible study, prayer, witnessing, involvement in a Bible-believing church, & the Obedience to our Lord's command to lead people of all nations to faith & maturity in Christ.
We believe in the One True Church, the body of Christ, consisting of all believers, regardless of race or social standing.
We believe in the Biblical pattern of the Family, that begins when a man & a woman choose to become husband & wife, & which grows as children are born to them. This pattern includes clear & certain responsibilities on the part of everyone who is part of that family.
We believe in the Spirit World that includes angels, Satan & demons, all of whom influence our lives, even though Christ has already secured the victory over Satan, his demons & death.
We believe in the Imminent Rapture of the church, & Christ's personal return to establish His kingdom on earth.
