in our scenic gazebo located on the hill just east of our main parking lot.)

Outdoor weddings are risky in Northern Ohio, but "chance" is removed for the nature lovers who prefer the blue skies, green grass and critters! You can reserve our large Gazebo/Pavilion along with seating for up to one hundred and fifty (150) guests.
If Mother Nature cooperates, fine!
If she acts up, we simply move your special occasion indoors!

Rehearsals
Rehearsals are not required by the Minister(s), unless the attendants include more than the Maid of Honor and the Best Man. Weddings larger than this must have a rehearsal.
*PLEASE NOTE: It is understood in advance that the Wedding Coordinator, not the Minister, handles most of the rehearsals. It would be impossible for the Minister to do the many weddings and rehearsals and carry out his other ministries.
The rehearsals are led by the Wedding Coordinator, not by the bride, the groom, a friend or a family member. By following her instructions, a very positive and productive rehearsal can be accomplished in 20 minutes. Because there might be more than one rehearsal per evening, no rehearsal should begin more than 20 minutes beyond it's scheduled time to commence.
Should your party arrive more than 20 minutes late, the rehearsal is cancelled without refund. So, if you see there is going to be a problem, contact your Wedding Coordinator immediately, and she will help you make the necessary schedule adjustment.
Musicians and Instruments
The church's instruments, all state of the art, preferably are to be played only by Staff musicians. Other instruments such as guitar, harp or violins can be brought in and used without cost. On those rare occasions when an outside musician is approved, there would be an additional charge for the use of these instruments.
*PLEASE NOTE: Seldom is the musician needed for the rehearsal, or to practice with outside soloists. If you should find this necessary, and additional contribution is required.
Soloists
Soloists or singers from outside our Staff are welcome. However, should you desire to use the soloist we recommend, there would be an additional contribution. A variety of wedding songs make up the repertoire of our soloist(s). Confirmation of this addition to your wedding is made through our Wedding Coordinator. Should you require a song for which the soloist does not have music, you would be required to furnish the same.
*PLEASE NOTE: Seldom is the soloist required to be present for the rehearsal, but if this is requested, the soloist will require an additional contribution.
Candlelight
Our most requested wedding is our CANDLELIGHT CEREMONY. Effective at any time of day or night, this option adds three candelabra and the 22 poles, glass globes, and brass candle holders that mount on the inside of each pew. The cost for these items was extraordinary but, the candlelight weddings we have done have been just breathtaking.
Candelabras
If you would like candlelight but not the full candlelight ceremony, you can use our two free-standing brass candelabras which hold candles and which stand at either side of the alter.
Special Pew Corsages Are Available
Printed Programs
Many brides request printed programs for their ceremony and we have lovely programs available for your use. You provide the Wedding Coordinator with the names of the participants in your wedding, and with the number of programs needed, and she will do the rest.
Helium Filled Balloons
Since rice and/or birdseed are so destructive to our facilities, and are no longer allowed, many bridal parties turn to the alternative of helium-filled balloons that can be held and enjoyed by everyone from the oldest to the youngest. These contributions include balloons, ribbons, delivery, and a person to hand them out!
55' Aisle Runner
Aisle runners can certainly enhance the atmosphere of a wedding, and they may be used at OLD OAK BIBLE CHURCH, but only if obtained from the Wedding Coordinator.
*PLEASE NOTE: If you include the throwing of rose petals in your wedding, we will have to insist on the use of an aisle runner.
Video Tape or DVD's
Although we are not professional photographers, we do answer the request of many couples, by videotaping the entire ceremony. The ceremony is captured on videotape or converted digitally to DVD to be referred to for years to come. See our Wedding Video page.
Our cameras are set in the best possible position, on the front platform. Although no editing is done, the video includes all the sights and sounds of the ceremony, and comes with a professionally printed label bearing all the pertinent facts of this special day. Edit is performed for the DVD option as well as professionally designed graphics for titles and background images. Should the camera and/or the tape malfunction, OLD OAK BIBLE CHURCH is to be held harmless by the bride and groom.
Message on Marquis
Our church recently installed a state of the art two sided, computerized LED marquis, complete with graphics. A message personalized to your wedding can be displayed on the marquis for two hours (from the hour before to the hour after your wedding) for an additional contribution. Many photographers and videographers prefer to open their layouts with shots of a marquis.
Weddings on Holidays or Holiday Weekends
Weddings scheduled for Memorial Day or during the official Memorial Day weekend, July 4th or the official July 4th weekend, Labor Day or the official Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving Day through and including the Saturday following Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve or New Year's Day, place an extra burden on our Staff and our facilities. Because of this, an additional contribution is reasonable, traditional, and therefore, required.
Weddings in our New Large Gazebo Pavilion
Outdoor weddings are risky in Northeastern Ohio, but that risk is removed for the nature lovers who prefer the blue skies and the green grass to the mauve and the teal inside. Reserve the gazebo pavilion and seating for your wedding party, and if Mother Nature cooperates, fine. If not, you can move indoors.
Romans 12:15
Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
